Kelly lives in Mansfield and works across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Her regular round takes in Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Hucknall, along with the villages around them such as Mansfield Woodhouse, Forest Town, Berry Hill, Huthwaite, Skegby, Stanton Hill, Annesley Woodhouse and Butler's Hill, and she travels further across both counties for regular visits and larger cleans. Kelly comes to you, so there is no premises to visit. If you are anywhere in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire, just ask and she will tell you straight away whether she can get to you.

How much do you charge?

Regular cleaning is £17 per hour, or £18 per hour if you would like Kelly to bring her own products and equipment. Deep cleans are £25 per hour, because they are slower and harder work than a regular visit. Care visits, which covers elderly support, dementia support, respite and companionship, are £20 per hour. End-of-tenancy cleans are quoted by the job, and Kelly will come and see the property first so the figure she gives you is accurate. There are no contracts, no minimum term, no call-out fee and no charge for the initial chat or visit.

Are you DBS checked and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes to both. Kelly holds an enhanced DBS check, which is the highest level of criminal record check available in the UK and the standard expected of anyone working with vulnerable adults. She is also fully insured, so you are covered in the unlikely event that something is damaged while she is working. References from existing clients are available on request, and she would encourage you to ask for them. You are letting someone into your home, or your parent’s home, and you should feel completely comfortable before anything is arranged.

Do you provide personal care such as washing or dressing?

Accepted Answer

No. Kelly provides companionship, household support, meal preparation, errands and respite, which are not regulated activities. Personal care, meaning help with washing, dressing, toileting or administering medication, is regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England and can only legally be provided by a CQC-registered provider. Kelly can offer gentle reminders about medication, but does not administer it. If you need regulated personal care she will happily point you towards a registered local agency rather than take on work that is not hers to do.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There are no contracts, no minimum number of hours and no notice period. You can book a single one-off clean, arrange a regular weekly or fortnightly slot, or stop whenever you like without any penalty. Kelly would rather people stay because the work is good than because they are tied in. Most clients start with one visit to see how they get on, and go from there. If a week does not suit, just let her know and she will move it.

How do I arrange a visit?

She will have a quick chat about what you need, arrange a free no-obligation visit if that would help, and give you a clear price. Most people are booked in within a few days, and she can usually help sooner if something is urgent.

Do you have experience with dementia?

Yes. Kelly has over twenty years of experience supporting people living with dementia, and it is the part of the work she cares most about. Support happens at home where things are familiar, and is built around routine, patience and keeping the same face coming through the door each week. That continuity matters enormously in dementia support. She works with a small number of families precisely so she can offer it. Families often start with one short weekly visit and build up as trust grows.

Do you bring your own cleaning products?

Either way works. Most clients prefer Kelly to use the products already in the house, partly because it keeps the rate at £17 per hour and partly because people have their own preferences, particularly if anyone in the house has allergies or sensitive skin. If you would rather not think about it, Kelly can bring everything she needs for £18 per hour. Just say which you would prefer when you get in touch.

Can you help if my parent lives alone and I live far away?

Yes, and this is one of the most common reasons people get in touch. Kelly acts as a reliable local pair of eyes: she visits regularly, keeps the house in order, provides real company rather than a rushed drop-in, and lets you know how your parent seems. Families living in another county often arrange and pay for the visits themselves. You get a proper update after each visit rather than a box-ticking report, so you know how things really are between your own trips.

Do you do one-off and end-of-tenancy cleans?

Yes. One-off deep cleans and end-of-tenancy cleans are a regular part of the work, alongside the regular visits. Deep cleans are charged at £25 per hour and usually take between four and eight hours. End-of-tenancy cleans are done to the standard letting agents and landlords actually inspect against, covering the oven, fridge, inside all cupboards, descaled bathrooms and every floor. Those are quoted by the job rather than by the hour, and Kelly will always come and look round the property before giving a price, because size and condition change the job completely. The visit is free and there is no obligation. Urgent move-out dates can often be fitted in at short notice.
